Anonimo escribió"A menudo oímos o leemos sobre la usabilidad y accesibilidad web, generalmente se tiende a pensar que son una misma cosa pero la verdad es que son totalmente diferentes.
Veremos las principales diferencias entre estos dos conceptos a modo de entenderlos y aplicarlos fácilmente.
Analizando los comportamientos de los usuarios, la Usabilidad nos brinda diferentes técnicas, para realizar una tarea (de forma sencilla y eficaz en un entorno gráfico relacionado con la web).
Podemos mencionar las principales técnicas de usabilidad:
- Autonomía, los usuarios deben tener el control sobre el sitio web.
- El usuario manda, sería semejante a la regla del cliente siempre tiene la razón.
- En la web calidad es igual a rapidez. (más de 20 segundos el 80% de los visitantes se irá sin ver la página)
- Si el sitio no carga enseguida, debe ponerse una precarga, así el usuario permanece en el sitio.
- Deben funcionar todos los enlaces.
- El sitio debe ser sencillo, para que los usuarios se sientan cómodos y no se pierdan cada vez que necesiten encontrar algo en la página Web.
- Poner breves conclusiones al principio ayuda al usuario a encontrar lo que busca en poco tiempo.
- Escriba los contenidos resumidos un 25% de lo que pondrías en un papel (leer en pantalla cuesta mucho)
- No sobrecargar de información a los usuarios, deben realizarse recorridos de lectura, quedando a la vista cual es la información principal y cual la secundaria.
- Los colores han de utilizarse con precaución para no dificultar el acceso a los usuarios daltónicos (aprox. un 15% del total).
- Utilizar interfaces conocidas, los sitios web deben requerir un mínimo proceso de aprendizaje.
- Legibilidad, el color de los textos debe contrastar con el del fondo, y el tamaño de fuente debe ser suficientemente grande.
En conclusión podríamos decir que los usuarios deben ser capaces de alcanzar sus objetivos con un mínimo esfuerzo y unos resultados máximos.
Hablar de Accesibilidad Web es hablar de un acceso universal a la Web, independientemente del tipo de hardware, software, infraestructura de red, idioma, cultura, localización geográfica y capacidades de los usuarios. Por ejemplo una web deja de ser accesible cuando para poder visualizarla correctamente necesitamos un plugin especial o navegador.
Entonces la idea es hacer la web accesible para todos los usuarios independientemente de las circunstancias y los dispositivos utilizados a la hora de acceder a la información. Una página accesible lo será tanto para una persona con discapacidad, como para cualquier otra persona que se encuentre bajo circunstancias externas que dificulten su acceso a la información.
